ABOUT

Pari is currently a senior at Miami and is super excited to be entering her fourth year in Miami Mock Trial.

Pari is originally from River Falls, Wisconsin where she graduated last from River Falls High School as valedictorian. There she competed on her speech team winning multiple regional competitions, ranking second in the state for her category and helping her team clinch three state victories in a row. She also participated in marching band and pep band, playing the tenor drums as well as jazz band playing piano. Notable achievements in high school include being president of National Honor Society, class representative for Student Council, and captain of the Mock Trial Team. Her favorite activity in high school was mock trial where she portrayed an attorney on her school’s A Team all four years. She and her team competed in regional and state competitions across the state each year. Her junior and senior year she had the privilege of leading her team to state and was the prosecution closing attorney.

Throughout the past four years, Pari has been able to develop her skills as an attorney and as a witness. During her freshman year, she competed both as a character witness and an attorney. In her sophomore year, Pari portrayed the plaintiff witness, Ari Felder, competing on the ORCs team in the spring. During her junior year, Pari captained Miami’s B-team, giving the defense opening statement and the middle attorney for the prosecution. That year, she led her team to qualify for ORCs where she competed as the defense opener.

At Miami, Pari is studying Political Science, getting both her Bachelor’s and her Master’s degree through the combined degree program, while minoring in Music Performance and Sociology. She is part of the University Honors College, currently writing her thesis on Mental Health in the Criminal Justice System in Ohio, and also has received departmental honors in Political Science and Sociology. Additional to Miami Mock Trial, Pari is apart of Amicus Curiae, a pre-law society.

In her abundance of free time, Pari can be found at the climbing wall trying not to fall off, cooking (more like making a mess) in her kitchen, trying to find her inner peace at yoga (we’re still not sure it’s working) or buying an absurd amount of winter coats online. If you are in need of random Wisconsin facts or a funny meme, you can usually find her in Kofenya or at a yoga class in Oxford.
