ABOUT
Macy Armagost is currently a senior and is entering her third year competing as a Miami Mock Trial competitor. Macy most recently competed on Miami A at the 2022 AMTA National Championship Tournament.
Macy joined Miami Mock Trial her freshman year and was quickly moved to Miami’s B-team during the Spring 2020 AMTA season. Miami’s B-team qualified for ORCS during the Spring 2020 season. In her junior year, Macy led Miami’s B team through Regionals to the Opening Round Championship Series in DeKalb, Illinois. Macy then joined MMT’s A-Team for the National Championship where she competed as a defense attorney.
Macy attended Linganore High School in Frederick, Maryland where she began her experience with Mock Trial, fulfilling the roles of both an attorney and a witness. Linganore’s team took first place in Frederick County in 2019 where Macy competed as an attorney. During her time at Linganore Macy also participated in speech-related organizations such as Model United Nations, earning an award at the Princeton Model United Nations Conference hosted by Princeton University in 2018.
Currently, Macy is pursuing majors in both English Literature and Classical Humanities at Miami. She is a member of Miami’s Honors Program and involved in her sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. She intends to go to law school after her undergraduate education at Miami.
