ABOUT
Cam is in his last year at Miami University, and so far he has been able to play every role there is from opener, closer, middle attorney, and witness. He's been an initiated member of the mock trial community since his freshman year in high school, where he competed at Indian Hill (Cincinnati, Ohio) for four years. At college, Freshman year he was on the B-team where he played a double expert and he helped earn a bid to Nationals where he played witness and attorney. Sophomore year, he played attorney for the B-team again. Most recently in Junior year, Cam played for the A-team during the Fall invitational season, then the B-team in the Spring season.
In addition to Mock, he's been part of the Community Standards Board and Appeals Board at Miami which involves representing student interest for our university's hearings on code of conduct violations. This past Summer, Cam has been part of the Undergraduate Summer Scholars Program, a research fellowship, where he completed philosophy research in the area of "practical reason". This coming year, he will continue research in practical reason through departmental honors. His work will be sent to conventions and journals, and hopefully, his work will be published.
After graduating, Cam hopes to go to law school, but he also might take time off before? Who knows what the future will hold? Indeed, uncertainty has defined 2020 and the better part of 2021. Only time will tell!
