MMT Finishes 22-9-1, Places 3 Teams in Tourney's Top 5
All four MMT teams competed in Columbus, OH at The Ohio State University's Scarlet and Gray Invitational this past weekend. The program finished with a program-wide record of 22-9-1 and placed three teams in the tournament's top 5.

Team Substantially More Prejudicial, coached by Dan Haughey, finished second by less than a point with a record of 7-1. No team at the tournament had a better record.
Team Tiffany Blue Collar, coached by Neal Schuett and Jaime Glinka, placed third with a record of 6-2 and Team Panda Dogz, coached by Laura Tholke and Missi Schuett, placed fifth with a record of 6-2. Team Release the Kraken, coached by Dan Herron and Lawrence Hilton, finished with a record of 3-4-1.
MMT's performance was made all the more impressive by the fact that 22 of the 42 MMT competitors at the tournament were competing for the first time ever. All four Miami teams were a conglomerate of newcomers and veterans. That will change this week when coaches stack the program into A, B, C and D teams.
Brad Ouambo, Zowoi Malakpa and Lauren Yates received outstanding witness awards. Ms. Yates was the tournament's highest ranked witness. Johnny Spear was awarded as an outstanding attorney.
MMT alums and All-American attorneys Gus Lazares and Tommy Jeffcott attended the tournament in support.
MMT will next send two teams to Louisville, KY to compete in the Bellarmine University Invitational to be held the weekend of October 25th.
